R-A-I-N

It's raining and has rained most of the day. I love to listen to rain, I love to hear the thunder. We even got kicked out of the Y pool today because of the lightning. It isn't even June yet, but we're to have rain for several days. I am so excited. Rain, rain, rain... I can just imagine how bright green all the trees and grass and bushes will be. In some of Oscar's words, 'Yes I - love -rain!' And the thunder rolls.

We just finished watching Footloose with the children. It's been years since I've watched that one. I must have worn out my cassette track!!

And May is half over....

The YEAR is almost half over! And now more doom and gloom. The children came upon3 ducklings that were squished in the road. That's sad to children, that's sad to me. They noticed one was still alive and thought they could get it some care. After some long time convincing they came to realize that the best they could hope for was trying to comfort the poor baby until it died. The children gathered their supplies: box, bread and water. And once it was all assembled it died right in Jessica's loving hands. The burial began. A tough lesson for my children to go through yet again. But what proud parents are we to watch them work together as a team to try to save one of God's amazing creations.

And today, Julian and I are packed and waiting on our ride to take us to Lakeland, FL for the night. Tomorrow we celebrate her accomplishments as an AWANA Sparks. We're riding with good friends; they too are celebrating for their son accomplished many things as well. We're going to Camp Gilead in Polk City. I'll be in charge of the camera so hurry back for pictures of a smiling beautiful young lady. Until then...

A sampling of the mayhem....

This picture shows Bella ' upstairs' waiting for Cutie Pie 'downstairs' to hurry and finish eating so the pouncing can begin. The two get along really well and are fun to watch as they interact.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Here are scenes from Chace's birthday party.
He wanted bubbles, so he got bubbles; a few anyway.

He wanted a few close friends to celebrate with him and
then to spend the night so he could take them to
Sunday morning Kid Blast.

He did NOT want cake,
he wanted ice cream, so ice cream he got.

OH, and did I mention he wanted bubbles?
