Long pumpkins in the pumpkin patch

The pictures came first; the bribery, er pumpkins came later. And boy was it a major decision that had to be made with so many pumpkins to choose from.

Co-op group activity

We're in a co-op, a book club if you will. The book--The Swiss Family Robinson. The children's favorite part of the weekly gathering--group activity time. In this picture Julian has successfully crossed the homemade bridge the children built.

Science

The ole Mentos in Diet Coke project, it always gets the kids to go out in the backyard in their skivies. Well, maybe just Chace. Notice Julian cleared out before the explosion but came back in time to share the leftovers.

Another clean kitchen gadget...

I'm deep cleaning my electronic kitchen toys. The other day it was the toaster oven. Ahhh, the toaster oven and all it's many memories. Still useful for frozen waffles, I can't tell you how many pieces of bread we toasted for cinnamon toast. MMMMMMMMMMMmmmmm As I scrubbed, I reminisced. Not sure how long I've had that toaster oven but I can go back at least 11 years. How you ask, well, I've never been able to scrub completely clean a spot where Jessica's "1" candle melted. And you'd think it would be an easy enough shape to melt back into...but nope. I noticed, my next task needs to be the ceiling fan in the kitchen; those blades sure can accumulate the dust.
And hey, have I told about the weather we've had lately, golly, it's been gorgeous---sunny and breezy and cool!!! We're talking in the 50's at night, it's amazing. We've had the windows open and the air conditioner off, can you believe it?
We were heading to the pumpkin patch today but some of us (most of us) weren't feeling well and required an afternoon of rest. Just minimal stuff, aches and pains and such, stuff that comes and goes with little or no explanation.
And now daddy is on a date with Julian and the other two are on the couches in front of the TV.
I should start thinking about some supper for the rest of us.

A beautiful Fall day in South Florida

Our weather has changed, even if only for a week, and is lovely!! I took the children to the park this afternoon and we enjoyed a glorious breeze. It's actually supposed to go below the 60's tonight. I am so excited!!

We're ready for Halloween and looking forward to Trick or Treating. The children might actually experience it the way mom and dad had to---with layers upon layers of clothing on to stay warm. I won't spoil their costumes until I have pictures to share.

Can you see that sky behind the children? It was gorgeous out. And time to dig deep into the clothing to find warmer wears.

Sunday lunch

Our Sunday lunch comes after at least a 5 hour work shift. We're tired and we're hungry. We're looking for some quick, good food. We're looking for a nice quiet atmosphere. We aren't asking for much. This week we decided to go to Weston's steak house. Now we aren't much into following football or any other sport for that matter so we were oblivious to the fact that the Dolphins were playing this Sunday. Apparently the restaurant we chose to eat at knew that the Dolphins were playing. In fact supposedly the Dolphin's cheerleaders were at that very restaurant that very day we ate there. I wondered if some of the people serving were those previously mentioned cheerleaders. They sure were dressed skimpily. Anyway, in the above picture you'll see that the mascot (I guess) was at the restaurant. Not sure his name or if indeed he is a he but the letters TD were on his jersey. Forgive me for not knowing the name, but he was getting fresh with the ladies so let's just hope he was indeed a he. Other than all of that check out my beautiful, wonderful children.

Chace on the computer.

Jessica in the tree.

The many naps of Bella.

Can you see her paws?

Chace's style

I asked Chace to unload the dryer and so he did, his own way. My crazy boy.
